THE HIV TEST

According to this brochure, HIV FACTS, The HIV TEST looks for antibodies in your body.
-If you have antibodies in your body, your test will be positive
-If do not have antibodies in your body, your test will be negative but this also means one of two things
-You are HIV negative or you are HIV positive but your body hasnt made antibodies yet.
-It usually takes up to 3 months after infection for the body to make HIV antibodies
